Description and scope of completed work
The Konjarnik heating plant project involved inspection and defect assessment of the reinforced concrete chimney shaft and preparation of rehabilitation documentation. Measurements and testing covered its full height of 96.40 metres.
A detailed visual and macroscopic inspection was carried out with the necessary measurements and records, core sampling and opening of the shell to establish the quality of concrete and reinforcement. The load-bearing capacity and condition of the existing structures were examined.
Based on the results and the concluding assessment of the chimney’s condition, technical documentation was prepared for rehabilitation of the Konjarnik reinforced concrete chimney. The work took place in July 2018.
